Murgatroyd land on the moors above HalifaxMurgatroyd Genealogy

Murgatroyd is my surname. I have found the story of its origin, the house and early members an interesting one. It will be of interest to all related to the Murgatroyd name and possibly other internet viewers as well.....This is for you...Rod.

to my E-mail address, I would welcome your comment and contributions.

The Murgatroyd name has its origin on the moors of Yorkshire, where a family group of ancient origin dwelt on the high moors out of the way of the Viking and Roman invaders.
