ICC World Cup Qualifiers

The ICC World Cup Qualifiers is a tournament of one-day matches run by the ICC for its associate members. Countries below test level have the opportunity to qualify for the World Cup and obtain ODI status. The tournament is generally run every four years, with the top two teams from the 2014 tournament qualifying for the 2015 World Cup. The top four teams were also given ODI status for the next four years.

Ten teams took part in the 2014 tournament in New Zealand. Scotland beat the UAE in the final, and the finishing order of the other teams was: Hong Kong, Papua New Guinea, Kenya, Namibia, the Netherlands, Canada, Nepal, and Uganda. Scotland qualified for the World Cup for the first time since 2007, while the UAE will be at the tournament for the first time since 1996. The UAE, Hong Kong, and Papua New Guinea also gained ODI status, while Kenya, the Netherlands, and Canada have lost their ODI status
