Kayaking at the Ngaawapurua
(Fuljames) rapid on the Waikato River, just a few kilometres north of Taupo.
Unfortunately there's no decent action shots available! We're looking forward to the
excellent kayaking that the Canterbury region has to offer (but not to the colder water!
Brrrr).

Us again at John & Kirsten's wedding in late 1998. Simon
managed to get himself into this photo also, but we were able to edit him out!! (The
film was a bit dodgy - that's why we're PINK!).
Outside our flat in Napier. This
was not long after we moved in (August 1998) as the shrubs behind us got much much bigger!
However thanks to a bit of two-stroke firepower from Jim's Mowing, they are now
chopped way back down to size.
Camping somewhere a year or so ago
(beside Lake Taupo I think).
At the Huka Falls, on the Waikato just
upriver of the Fuljames rapid. This was a reconnaissance mission prior to
kayaking the falls, but there was a bit too much flood debris in the water so we decided
not to.
Jo's first time skiing at Whakapapa. The blizzard conditions at the time
didn't make it that much fun, but luckily she wasn't put off and several trips later (in
better weather) she is pretty good on a pair of planks! Also looking forward to the
abundance of skiing in Canterbury (e.g. Mt
Hutt), and especially going to enjoy the extra hour or two of sleeping in before
heading off. Goodbye 0600 starts!!
